NEWS AND FEATURES

GLA Launches New Website

The Global Learning Alliance (GLA) has launched a new website to serve as a dynamic platform for learning and sharing among Alliance members and other stakeholders. Designed in a participatory manner, the new one replaces the beta version website that has been running for the past several months.

The website contains a number of features that facilitate on-line sharing and learning. Members can share resource materials – case studies, good practices and success stories, practical guides, research and evaluation reports, videos, policy briefs and other publications. Interested members can then download any of these materials from the site. The forum portal will allow members to initiate related topics and participate in the discussions on-line. Non-members who have interest in certain topics can also participate in the forum upon registration and subject to the forum guidelines. The forum portal also allows participants and facilitators to previous learning and exchange visits and capacity-building activities to continue to interact, provide updates and seek and provide continuing technical advice as needed.

The sub-regional learning platforms – Asia, Eastern Africa, Southern Africa and Latin America – can share news and feature stories of activities and initiatives at the sub-regional level as well as from their individual member-organizations. A space in the front page is also provided where each of the sub-regional platforms can highlight their upcoming activities. The GLA website links to the websites of most participating partners and member organizations.

The website features optimized pages and social media links to include Twitter feed display and Facebook widget. It is a mobile device-friendly site.
